The Falcons announced two roster moves Tuesday.
Atlanta signed S Matt Giordano and released CB Tye Hill, who was acquired from the Rams for a seventh-round pick last year.
Giordano, a sixth-year veteran, spent last season with the Packers after playing for the Colts from 2005-08. He'll battle for a roster spot as a special-teams contributor and a backup safety in Atlanta.
Hill, a former first-round pick, received a chance to start for the Falcons, but he was replaced after a short stint in the starting lineup.
