The Chiefs bolstered their offensive line on Tuesday by signing free-agent OG Ryan Lilja. The deal is reportedly for three years.

Lilja, 28, spent the first six seasons of his career with the Colts before being released on March 8. Undrafted out of Kansas State, Lilja played in 66 games with Indianapolis, starting 59, including all 16 this past season. He has also started eight playoff games and has appeared in two Super Bowls.

Lilja is an immediate candidate to start at right guard for the Chiefs, who cut 2009 starter Mike Goff last month. Along with OLG Brian Waters and recently signed C Casey Wiegmann, Lilja brings a wealth of experience to the interior of K.C.'s offensive line, which often struggled last season.
