The wheeling and dealing continued for the Browns on Sunday as they dealt OLB Kamerion Wimbley to the Raiders for Oakland's third-round pick in April's draft, according to multiple reports. The trade comes shortly after Cleveland worked a trade with Denver, sending QB Brady Quinn to the Broncos for FB Peyton Hillis and a couple of draft picks.
Wimbley, the No. 13 overall pick in the 2006 draft, had 6½ sacks and a forced fumble in 15 games for the Browns last season. The 26-year-old has 26½ sacks in his four seasons with Cleveland, with a career-best 11 in his rookie season.
The Browns apparently will be counting on Marcus Benard, who had 3½ sacks in six games as a rookie in 2009, and RFA Matt Roth, who had four sacks in six games after the team acquired him from the Dolphins last season, to pick up the slack in the pass-rush game.
