The Broncos announced Sunday that they have acquired QB Brady Quinn in a trade with Cleveland. The team agreed to trade FB Peyton Hillis, a 2011 sixth-round draft pick and a conditional 2012 draft pick to the Browns in exchange for Quinn, pending physicals.
Quinn, who's entering his fourth season, has thrown for 1,902 yards, 10 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 14 games played, all with Cleveland since being a first-round draft pick of the Browns in 2007. He has started 12 games in his career, including nine in '09.
"I appreciate everything Brady did for us last year and in his three seasons with the Cleveland Browns," Cleveland head coach Eric Mangini said. "He is professional in the way he goes about doing his job and worked extremely hard at every aspect of his game. I wish him the best of success in Denver."
Hillis played in 28 games with eight starts in his two years with the Broncos. He had 81 carries for 397 yards and six touchdowns during that span.
