The Chiefs announced they signed C Casey Wiegmann late Friday.

Wiegmann, a 15th-year veteran, was released by the Broncos in February after spending two seasons in Denver. He'll return to Kansas City, where he played for seven seasons before joining the Broncos. He played well in Denver, earning a Pro Bowl nod in 2008, but the Broncos wanted to get a bigger center than Wiegmann, who is listed at 285 pounds.

The 36-year-old is known for his durability. He's started 143 consecutive games dating back to ’01.
