The player expected to start at quarterback for the Panthers in 2010 will soon be under contract.
The Charlotte Observer reports QB Matt Moore will sign his restricted free-agent tender Thursday or Friday. Carolina tendered Moore at the highest level and he'll make $3.043 million on the one-year deal after signing it.
"It's a done deal," Moore's agent, Lynn Lashbrook, told the Observer. "He's excited about getting started for next season. He did not want to wait around.
"He wanted to send a message to the community and the team. I just think it's a great win-win for both parties."
The Panthers went 4-1 with Moore as their starter down the stretch last season.
