The Jets announced they re-signed TE Ben Hartsock on Wednesday.

Hartsock functions as a blocking tight end in the team's offense and made just one catch in 2009. It was a two-yard touchdown grab. He joined the Jets before last season after being cut by the Falcons.

The seventh-year veteran made two postseason starts for New York last season after starting seven regular-season games.
