The Redskins need to rebuild their offensive line, but one position will remain static.
The team announced Monday the re-signing of C Casey Rabach to a contract extension. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Rabach, 32, has started 79 of the team’s past 80 games, missing only the one contest in 2007. He helped RB Clinton Portis to run for the two highest single-season rushing totals in franchise history (1,516 yards in 2005; 1,487 in 2008).
“Casey has been a productive player in this league for many years and we expect him to be a key ingredient to our success,” Redskins executive vice president-head coach Mike Shanahan said.
