The Lions traded a sixth-round pick in April’s draft for Falcons CB Chris Houston.

The teams also will swap places in Round Five. The exact draft order has yet to be determined because of compensatory picks that will be announced later this month.

Houston became expendable when the Falcons signed CB Dunta Robinson.

The Lions also signed free-agent CB Jonathan Wade earlier in the day. Wade previously played with the Rams under Scott Linehan, now the Lions’ offensive coordinator.

With Houston and Wade on board, the team might cool its interest in free-agent CB Lito Sheppard, though the position remains a need.

Houston was a second-round pick in 2007, and Wade was a third-rounder the same year.
