The Raiders have released RB Justin Fargas, according to reports.
Oakland made the move before Fargas was due a $1.7 million bonus. The 30-year-old spent all seven seasons of his career with the Raiders and built a reputation as a violent rusher. He averaged 3.8 yards per carry before missing the final two games of last season with a knee injury.
Michael Bush and Darren McFadden are the top backs left on the Raiders' roster following Fargas' departure.
