The Texans re-signed P Matt Turk to a one-year contract, The Houston Chronicle reported Friday morning.
Turk set a career-high for net average in 2009, averaging 39.4 yards on 67 punts. One of the NFL's oldest players, Turk will turn 42 in June, but coming off a season in which he helped Houston allow just 104 punt-return yards, the Texans moved to keep him in the fold.
Turk played for the Redskins (1995-99), Dolphins (2000-05) and Rams (2006) before joining Houston in 2007.
