The Falcons have re-signed CB Brian Williams to a one-year deal, according to a FOX report.
Williams would have become an unrestricted free agent on Friday, but Atlanta locked him up before he could sign with a different team. The eight-year veteran started five games for Atlanta last season before tearing his ACL, which sidelined him for the rest of the campaign.
He should have a chance to start again in 2010 in a young secondary.
Williams previously played for the Vikings and Jaguars, and was coached by Falcons head coach Mike Smith in Jacksonville when Smith was the team's defensive coordinator.
