The Browns released C Hank Fraley on Wednesday.

Fraley, 32, started 52 games in four seasons with Cleveland. He was acquired before the '06 season in a trade with Philadelphia for a 2008 sixth-round pick. Fraley appeared in 15 games with the Browns last season, making three starts at right guard and one start at tight end.

Fraley was displaced at center by first-round pick Alex Mack, who started all 16 games and impressed as a rookie.
