Teams interested in acquiring Elvis Dumervil will have to pay a high price for his services.
On Wednesday the Broncos placed the highest tender on Dumervil, who will become a restricted free agent March 5, according to reports. An opposing club would have to give up first- and third-round picks to sign Dumervil if Denver opted not to match the team's offer.
Dumervil's salary will be $3.168 million in 2010 if he signs the one-year tender. The four-year veteran made his first Pro Bowl after leading the league with 17 sacks in ’09.
Denver tendered WR Brandon Marshall, QB Kyle Orton, OG Chris Kuper and TE Tony Scheffler on Wednesday, as well.
