According a report in the Washington Post, Redskins OLT Chris Samuels is expected to announce his retirement in a news conference this week at Redskins Park.

Samuels suffered a severe neck injury Oct. 11 and missed the rest of the 2009 season. The injury is reportedly career-threatening. In fact, the Post reports that the Redskins have known since October that Samuels's career was over because of the injury. He also has stenosis.

Samuels, 32, is a six-time Pro Bowler. He played in only five games last season.
