During a press conference at the Combine, Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland responded to reports that he likely would be cutting S Gibril Wilson after a disappointing 2009 season. Despite speculation to the contrary, it doesn't appear that Wilson will be sent packing anytime soon. "(Wilson) took a lot of the rap (in the secondary)," Ireland said. "He's playing a position with two young corners. A lot of the things that the media or the fans would try to blame on him weren't always his fault. We have our evaluation of Gibril Wilson. We know what kind of player he's capable of being. I think he's going to be a very good player for the future. He was disappointed in his play last year. He would tell you that. I think he can play better. We'll just have to see. I think he will (play better)." Wilson's base salary will be $3.85 million in 2010.
