As more and more teams switch to the 3-4 defense, finding players to fit the alignment has become increasingly difficult. But that doesn't worry Bills head coach Chan Gailey, who has a plan of his own when it comes to the scheme being installed by new coordinator George Edwards. Speaking to the media at the NFL Scouting Combine, Gailey said that instead of forcing players into a defense, he and Edwards are going to adjust their "D" to maximize the talents of the players they have. While not everyone in Buffalo is an ideal fit for the 3-4, some actually might benefit from the change, such as 2009 first-round pick Aaron Maybin, who made little impact last year at defensive end. "Aaron's got a lot of physical talent," Gailey said. "If we can get him moved and get him to where he's standing up and doing some things off the edge, that might fit him a lot better than being a hands-on-the-ground 4-3 defensive end."
