OLB Clint Sintim could find himself earning a lot more playing time in his second pro season, with some expected shuffling going on at linebacker. Head coach Tom Coughlin said he likes what he has seen so far from Sintim, who essentially had a redshirt first season in the NFL with little action in the base defense. "He's a very talented young player that we're going to have to see that on a game-to-game basis this year," Coughlin told PFW. "He's come a long way. He really has. This year has been very good to him, very important to his development." So what was Sintim's biggest impediment of getting on the field as a rookie? "He knows a little bit more about the pro game now and what is expected of him, the physical aspect of the game that we expect him to be (at) and also taking full advantage of him as a pass rusher," Coughlin said. "His progress is really important to us." Coughlin wouldn't indicate if Sintim was the favorite to be the starting "Sam" linebacker but did say Sintim would get a chance to win the job.
