The Broncos released C Casey Wiegmann and RB LaMont Jordan Tuesday, reports indicate.
Wiegmann, who will turn 37 in July, served as Denver's starting center for the past two seasons and made the Pro Bowl after the 2008 campaign. Jordan signed with the team before the ’09 season, but was used sparingly. He played in just nine games as rookie Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter handled most of the workload in the backfield. Jordan, a nine-year veteran, had 25 carries for 86 yards.
Denver is in the process of transitioning to a more powerful rushing attack and is looking to add bigger offensive linemen to the roster.
