Will Allen, the Dolphins' starting right cornerback, was arrested early Saturday morning.
According to the Miami Herald, Miami Beach police officers arrested Allen, 31, at 3:30 a.m. EST on charges of driving while under the influence.
Allen, who is married with three children, lives in Davie, Fla., and is not known to have any prior arrests.
He was originally drafted in the first round of the 2001 draft by the Giants, playing five seasons in New York before signing with the Dolphins as a free agent in 2006.
Allen suffered a torn ACL in October, forcing him to sit out the rest of the '09 season.
He is the second Miami player to have a run-in with police in recent weeks. DT Tony McDaniel was charged with domestic violence in early February.
