Jets QB Mark Sanchez will undergo surgery on his left knee Wednesday, according to reports.

He decided to go ahead with the procedure almost two weeks ago, and Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum said he expects Sanchez to be ready to participate in training camp, although he will likely miss some offseason team activities while he recovers. The recovery is supposed to take two months.

The New York Daily News reports that his surgery will repair a patella-stabilizing ligament and it will be minimally invasive. He first injured the knee during his junior season at USC and sustained a partial dislocation of it in a Week 12 game vs. the Panthers last season. Sanchez, who threw 12 touchdowns and 20 interceptions in 15 regular-season starts, also injured his right knee in a Dec. 3 game vs. the Bills, but that injury will not require surgery.
