Angelo Wright, the agent for Vikings NT Pat Williams, reportedly told the St. Paul Pioneer Press that Williams plans to play in 2010.
Following the Vikings' loss in the NFC championship game to the Saints, Williams estimated his chances of retiring were "50-50."
"Trust me, I know what Pat Williams is doing. Pat Williams is playing," Wright told the paper. "I talked to Pat Williams three or four times in the last week. He'll be playing next season."
But that doesn't guarantee he'll be a Viking. The team could opt to move on without Williams, one half of the famed Williams Wall with DT Kevin Williams, if they feel he's too old at 38 to be worth his $4.5 million in expected salary next season.
Also, both Williams players should find out Thursday if they can sue the NFL for allegedly violating Minnesota drug-testing laws.
