Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams apparently underwent a surgical procedure on Monday. The four-year veteran announced that he was having surgery on his Website.
It's believed that the procedure repaired the foot/ankle injury that kept him out of Carolina's final two games of the regular season. Williams rushed for 1,117 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
The Rock Hill Herald reports that the Panthers' team doctor, Robert Anderson, performed the surgery and that it is not a major concern for the team.
The Panthers' leading rusher from 2009, Jonathan Stewart, also underwent surgery this offseason. Stewart announced on his Twitter account that he would have surgery on his left foot Jan. 20.
