The Titans hired Jaguars RB coach Kennedy Pola to the same position on Monday. He replaces Earnest Byner, who was fired over the weekend, according to the club.

Pola had coached the Jaguars' running backs the last five seasons. Among the backs he coached in Jacksonville were Maurice Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor. Steelers SS Troy Polamalu is Pola's nephew.

Byner had coached the Titans' running backs for two seasons.
