While reports indicate Tom Cable will be retained as Raiders' head coach, the team continues to indicate that no decision has been made concerning Cable's future. Managing general partner Al Davis is evaluating Cable, as the two have met on multiple occasions since the season finale three weeks ago, and they will continue to meet, Raiders senior executive John Herrera told the Oakland Tribune. The club is considering changing Cable's role, however, even if he returns as head coach. Ravens quarterbacks coach Hue Jackson met with Davis — with Cable not present — on Jan. 20 to discuss coming on board, and word is he's being considered as an offensive coordinator for Cable, who handled the play-calling duties during the season. Jim Fassel, Marc Trestman and Jim Harbaugh have been rumored as potential head-coaching candidates in Oakland, but each has either denied meeting with or having interest in the Raiders, according to reports.
