Saints C Jonathan Goodwin joined teammates ORG Jahri Evans and ORT Jonathan Stinchcomb on the NFC Pro Bowl roster this week as a replacement for the injured Andre Gurode. None of them will play in the game if the Saints advance to the Super Bowl, however, as the Pro Bowl is being held the week before the Super Bowl this year. OLT Jermon Bushrod and OLG Carl Nicks are the only two starting O-linemen for New Orleans not to make the roster. Some observers say Nicks, who has started every game since Week Four of the 2008 season, was snubbed. Evans has seen improvement from his fellow guard in Year Two after a solid rookie campaign. "I think (Nicks) has improved drastically," Evans said. "… He's seeing things better, and I think he's understanding things a little bit better, pre-snap wise. That's always good when you can have a game plan before the snap or recognize things before the snap and execute it." Pro Bowler or not, the Saints found a gem in the '08 draft's fifth round when they selected Nicks.
