After a season in which it allowed 45 sacks and opened up few holes in the running game, it's possible that the Chiefs' offensive line could look a lot different in 2010. Starting C Rudy Niswanger and ORT Ryan O'Callaghan are both set to become restricted free agents if there's no new Collective Bargaining Agreement, and 34-year-old ORG Mike Goff appeared well past his prime in '09. We hear that all three could either be gone or out of the starting lineup next season. We've also been told that the Chiefs are indifferent to swing lineman and unrestricted free agent Wade Smith, meaning he could be allowed to walk. At this point, only OLT Branden Albert and OLG Brian Waters appear safe, and even they could be shifted to new positions in '10. If Kansas City uses its fifth overall pick on an offensive tackle, Albert could swing to right tackle or even guard, where he played in college. If that happens, Waters could even wind up at center.
