FS Thomas DeCoud showed the Falcons enough in his first year as a starter to secure the starting job for 2010. At strong safety, however, sources say there could be a legitimate battle in the offseason. Coleman, who has started every game since signing with the Falcons before the ’08 season, might be difficult to unseat as an elder statesman of a very young secondary. He was second on the team in tackles in '09 with 116.
