The Dolphins announced Monday that they have terminated the contract of defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni.

“I want to thank Paul for his services to the team, and I want to wish him the best,” Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano said.

Pasqualoni came to the Dolphins along with Sparano from Dallas, where he had served as a linebackers coach. He served as Miami's defensive coordinator the past two seasons, with Miami slipping to 22nd in overall defense this season after ranking 15th in the league in 2008.
