Charlotte-Mecklenburg (N.C) police said Wednesday it will not charge Loleini Tonga, the fiancée of Bengals WR Chris Henry, in connection with his death.

In announcing that it had completed its investigation of the accident that led to the death of Henry, 26, on Dec. 17, Charlotte police have concluded that Tonga was not driving recklessly or speeding at the time Henry came out of the back of a pickup truck. Police estimated Tonga was traveling at 19-23 mph at the time of the accident; the speed limit was 35 mph.

Charlotte police also disclosed that Tonga cooperated throughout the investigation. There were no witnesses as to how Henry came out of the back of the pickup truck, police said. Tonga and Henry were involved in an argument before Tonga drove away in the pickup truck with Henry, who had jumped in the back of the truck, beating on the back of the truck, police said.

According to police, the Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner has ruled Henry's death accidental, with "blunt force trauma to the head from a fall" the cause of death, police said.
