Team insiders agree that versatile veteran SS Adrian Wilson, the undisputed key cog in first-year coordinator Billy Davis' defense, deserved his third Pro Bowl selection in the last four seasons. "But he was just good this year, and not as great as he had been — like he was last year," said one insider of Wilson, only the 10th player in league history to record at least 20 sacks and 20 interceptions in his career. Wilson had a career-high five interceptions in his ninth season. "But there were some games where he got lost in coverage, most notably in the (Week Nine) Bears game, matched up against (TE) Greg Olsen. He didn't play up to his usual standards, but he is almost always in the right place and could have easily had three more interceptions." While the Cardinals face another offseason overflowing with contract concerns, they can take solace in the fact Wilson couldn't be more content after having signed a hefty contract extension last June that has the team's longest-tenured player locked up through 2013.
