There have been no indications that QB Jason Campbell will be a Redskin next season, though it's difficult to say what will happen to him until a new coach is hired. Campbell has had an up-and-down season, but considering all that has gone on around him — myriad injuries, the changing of play-callers and playing with a very limited cast of talent — he has handled himself well in the face of adversity. Assuming no new Collective Bargaining Agreement is reached by March, Campbell's rookie contract will expire, but he will remain a restricted free agent. That gives the team an edge in deciding his future for him, able to tender him to protect themselves from letting him leave without compensation. But with the Redskins reportedly scouting first-round-caliber quarterbacks for April under new GM Bruce Allen, Campbell's future as a starter here clearly remains in serious doubt.
