The Steelers signed WR Joey Galloway and LS Jared Retkofsky on Tuesday.
Galloway, 38, caught seven passes for 67 yards in three games with New England this season. The Patriots released him on Oct. 20. Galloway has caught 689 passes for 10,777 yards with 77 touchdowns in 15 NFL seasons. Galloway effectively replaces Limas Sweed, who was placed on the reserve / non-football illness list Monday.
Retkofsky replaces Greg Warren, who suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in Pittsburgh's win vs. Baltimore on Sunday. Retkofsky also replaced Warren last season as well after Warren suffered a knee injury in October 2008.
