When Titans WR Justin Gage missed four games with a back injury, rookie Kenny Britt stepped into the starting lineup and performed very well, showing promise as a field-stretching threat and very much giving the impression he could become Tennessee's No. 1 target for a long time. Though head coach Jeff Fisher has said Britt has not surpassed Gage just yet, the sense is that Britt will be playing more, not less, going forward. He's just too big of a playmaking threat to keep off the field, with the speed to get deep and create after the catch. The Titans' top three receivers (Britt, Gage and Nate Washington) are all under contract through at least 2011, meaning all will likely be back in key roles next season. But the biggest star of all could be Britt, who is only 21 and has improved throughout his first NFL campaign.
