The Buccaneers' 1-12 start has put Raheem Morris' future with the team in doubt, but some veteran players came to his defense recently, saying he deserves to be back next season. C Jeff Faine and S Jermaine Phillips, who is on injured reserve, are highly respected and prominent figures within the locker room. Both made their positive feelings about Morris public after a Week 14 loss, and sources familiar with the organization say their comments did carry weight. The team hasn't shown much improvement overall, and rookie QB Josh Freeman has regressed after getting off to a solid start, which has led to further questioning of Morris' ability to get the club moving in the right direction. When asked about his future, Morris has said he's not spending time worrying about it. We hear the Glazer family, however, is quite concerned about the team's lack of progress, and there is no guarantee Morris will be back in 2010.
