The TE position remains one of the easier fantasy trends to spot. Playing the matchups will usually keep you from having this position as a weakness. And in the fantasy playoffs, to win it all, we have to have every position producing. Take these tips and use them well.

Owners of Aaron Hernandez might be bummed they didn't go with Rob Gronkowski, as the Patriots' top TE is also the top fantasy tight end with his 13 receiving touchdowns this season. Hernandez is still getting looks and still will be productive in the Patriots' spread attack and if teams finally figure out they need to double "Gronk" near the goal line, that will create favorable matchups for Hernandez. The Redskins don't have the safeties to match up with Gronkowski, assuming LaRon Landry remains out, so look for the 'Skins to double-team him. Both players are No. 1 TEs.

Jermaine Gresham has been targeted 16 times in the past two games for the Bengals, three more than WRs Jerome Simpson, Andre Caldwell and Andrew Hawkins have received combined in that span. A.J. Green is the Bengals' go-to target, but Gresham's looking like the second-most valuable pass catcher for fantasy owners to have down the stretch. He has some potential against a Texans squad that is slightly better than middle-of-the-road. However, they are playing on a different level and QB Andy Dalton has been struggling a bit, making Gresham a better bench play than starter right now. He remains quality depth as a No. 2 if you have to use him.

Coming off his first 100-yard game since Sept. 26, 2010, Tony Gonzalez should keep rolling when the Falcons face the Panthers on Sunday. Gonzalez will turn 36 in February and he's not as quick as he used to be, but owners can rely on him to continue providing steady production for the rest of the season. WRs Julio Jones and Roddy White have struggled with drops this season, so QB Matt Ryan trusts Gonzalez as much as any of his targets. Gonzalez has a five-game average of 6.2 catches for 70 yards and 0.6 TDs on 8.2 targets, and is a top-five fantasy TE this week.
