The Jets announced they placed LB Larry Izzo on injured reserve Thursday.

Izzo, a 14th-year veteran and special-teams contributor, made 18 tackles on special teams this season. He's in his first year with the Jets after playing for the Patriots from 2001-08 and the Dolphins from 1996-2000.

The team also added two players to its practice squad Thursday, signing undrafted rookies LB Josh Mauga and C Michael Parenton, who both had stints with the Jets earlier this year.
