The Rams announced Wednesday morning that they have placed starting FS Oshiomogho (O.J.) Atogwe on the reserve/injured list and waived LB Dominic Douglas. The Rams also signed QB Mike Reilly from the Packers’ practice squad and free-agent S Clinton Hart, formerly with the Chargers, to fill the roster spots opened by Atogwe and Douglas.
Atogwe had looked into the possibility of being fitted with a harness that would allow him to finish the season after dislocating his shoulder on the last play of the first half of the Rams’ Week 13 loss to the Bears in Chicago. The five-year veteran finishes his season with 84 tackles, currently second on the team. Atogwe added two interceptions, three passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Atogwe had started 60 consecutive games, dating to the 2006 season opener. He is expected to be reaplaced by Craig Dahl in the starting lineup
Douglas, a rookie from Mississippi State, split time between the Rams’ practice squad and active roster. He played in four games this season.
