The rebuilding Buccaneers have already begun the process of getting inexperienced players who were added to the roster after the season began more involved, in order to get a good read on them before evaluating the team's needs for the offseason. Observers in Tampa say DE Tim Crowder has stood out among that group. Crowder, a second-round pick of the Broncos in 2007, didn't pan out in Denver and was dismissed after training camp after he couldn't find a spot in the team's new 3-4 defense. Yet, he has made all 3½ of his sacks in the second half of the season and could earn himself a role as a rotational player next season if he continues to get pressure on quarterbacks, which is something Tampa Bay has struggled to do. Other little-known players who are being considered for roles in 2010 include undrafted rookie FB Chris Pressley and S Corey Lynch, who has contributed mostly on special teams.
