Without explicitly using the term "retirement," Seahawks nine-time Pro Bowl OLT Walter Jones seems to have made up his mind to do just that via his Twitter account.
In a tweet sent out at around noon PST, Jones stated, "I think I have had a great run at this thing the NFL and (S)eahawks and the fans (have) been great to me."
Then in a post 20 minutes later, he added, "There is no easy way to give something (up) that you have been doing for s(o) long (a) time."
Jones suffered a back injury that held him out of action this year and caused the Seahawks to place him on injured reserve after Week Six. He has started every one of the 180 games in which he played in his career. He entered the league as the sixth overall pick in the 1997 draft.
