WR Hines Ward and QB Ben Roethlisberger have indicated they have put aside any hard feelings stemming from Ward suggesting in an interview with NBC that Roethlisberger might have been able to play with a concussion in Week 12. Head coach Mike Tomlin suggested such distractions can occur when a team is struggling. "Any time you get 53 guys in a locker room, there are going to be disagreements and misunderstandings and miscommunication and so forth," he told Pittsburgh reporters. "I think it's highlighted by losing and it becomes a story at times in the midst of losing." The way we hear it, Ward has long been one of the most talkative members of the Steelers, and there's a sense that it got him into trouble in this instance. However, this appears to be a minor incident and no indication, we're told, of overall unrest in the locker room or anything of the like.

PFW has launched its brand-new NFL Draft Newsletter series, with the second issue now ready for mailing. Produced by PFW's player personnel department under the direction of Nolan Nawrocki, the series consists of four information-packed issues.
