Mike Sims-Walker is on pace for the first 1,000-yard receiving season by a Jaguar since Jimmy Smith in 2005. The way we hear it, the surprise in Jacksonville isn't what a good receiver he has become, but the fact he has managed to stay on the field. Sims-Walker has dealt with several knee injuries, including an ACL tear as a junior at Central Florida and a trip to injured reserve that cost him his entire rookie season in 2007. After missing seven more games in '08, the Jaguars wondered if their top-flight prospect would ever reach his potential. This year, he is doing just that. Walker has been instrumental in his team's success, averaging 96.5 yards in each of their six wins. He also has TDs each of the last three games, all Jaguars victories, including a game-winner with less than a minute remaining in Week 11. Walker isn't the fastest receiver, but he has good size and a knack for getting open, making him the No. 1 receiver the team has been looking for since Smith's departure.
