It appears Colts GM Bill Polian has struck it rich with another diamond-in-the-rough middle-round linebacker in third-year pro Clint Session. After making a very strong impression as a fourth-round rookie two years ago, Session was not as impressive as the starting strong-side linebacker last season, with his tendency to play out of control and overpursue. But after being switched to the weak side this offseason, it has been a different story. "This year, he is really zeroed in and is much more aware of the need to read keys on the weak side," said one daily team observer of Session, who was involved in two stops in a key goal-line stand in the Week 11 escape from Baltimore and also made a game-saving interception in the Week Nine win over Houston. "His best days are ahead of him. He has a chance to be just as good as David Thornton — the one guy Polian wishes he could have back."
