One of the more surprising developments of the Browns' season has been RB Chris Jennings' rise from practice-squad player to the top option off the bench behind starter Jamal Lewis. Jennings, promoted to the roster in October, has seen a major increase in playing time after the club's Week Nine bye, and he appears to have supplanted Jerome Harrison as Cleveland's No. 2 back. The 5-10, 219-pound Jennings played collegiately at Arizona, rushing for 607 yards in two seasons. He went undrafted in 2008, then landed with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes, where he played just one game last season. However, for as well and as frequently as Jennings has played of late, we hear he's hardly assured of keeping his role going forward, considering the sometimes mystifying ways the club uses its personnel. After all, Harrison was a much bigger part of the offense earlier in the season before mysteriously falling out of favor.
