In his first year on the job, Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris has changed coordinators on offense and defense, and we're only in Week 12.
Offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski was jettisoned 10 days before the season began and now Morris has demoted D-coordinator Jim Bates, according to reports, but Bates will continue to work with the team in a different capacity, although he will likely be let go after the season. Morris will take over the defensive duties and is expected to re-install the Tampa-2 defense that was scrapped after Monte Kiffin departed in the offseason.
Morris was promoted to D-coordinator in the offseason before he received the head-coaching job, but he has only served as a D-coordinator at the college level. He was the coordinator at Kansas State for one year.
Tampa Bay's defense is ranked 27th and has allowed the second-most points in the league (294). The Bucs gave up 323 points in 16 games last season.
