Quickly moving to bolster their secondary after losing CB Al Harris for the rest of the season with a torn ACL, the Packers have signed CB Josh Bell to a two-year contract. Signed by the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2008, Bell ended up playing in nine games for Denver last season, including five starts in place of the injured Champ Bailey.
The 5-foot-11, 177-pound Bell finished the year with 43 tackles (36 solo) and four passes defensed. Bell failed to make Denver’s final roster cut this season because of concerns the team had about his injured knee.
