The Cardinals made a pair of roster moves Tuesday afternoon, announcing the re-signing of LB Monty Beisel to a one-year contract and releasing TE Dominique Byrd.
The 6-3, 244-pound Beisel rejoins the Cardinals after playing the previous three seasons in Arizona. Beisel signed with the Chiefs as a free agent in the offseason and appeared in three games and collected two tackles before being released on Sept. 29.
Beisel signed as a free agent with the Cardinals in 2006 and appeared in 40 games (four starts), collecting 56 tackles (37 solos), one interception and 48 special-teams tackles. Beisel also appeared in all four postseason games for Arizona last season.
Byrd was fourth on the depth chart at tight end behind Stephen Spach, Ben Patrick and Anthony Becht.
