Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett has come under fire again, prior to the Redskins game, for not running the ball enough. In the loss to the Packers, the team quickly became one-dimensional and hardly effective, essentially eliminating the run in the second half. Garrett said the Cowboys have enough weapons to be tough to defend and that flexibility, in theory, should open things up both in the run and pass. "Our objective is when we break the huddle they have to defend the run, they have to defend the pass, they have to defend us short, they have to defend us long. You just want to be a team that is capable of attacking defenses a lot of different ways," Garrett said. He also seemed to acknowledge that the Cowboys' best chance offensively would be to get the ball into the hands of Marion Barber, Tashard Choice and Felix Jones more often, the latter of which is only getting about 15 snaps per game offensively from the backfield. But Garrett added that "you want to be good at a lot of different things."

another story about the Cowboys. Yay. Here's the story nobody ever wants to talk about: this team can't handle expectations. When they're not expected to do much, they play well. When they're expected to contend, they choke. Romo will do his annual December fade, the team will limp into the playoffs, MAYBE, and if they get to the postseason they'll be out of it by the end of Wildcard Weekend. Again.
