Just days after head coach Todd Haley acknowledged the tremendous progress his receiving corps had made following the Chiefs' win at Oakland, that group took a huge hit on Tuesday when the NFL handed WR Dwayne Bowe a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. Bowe later admitted that the drug he tested positive for was a diuretic, which is used to lose weight but can also be a masking agent for other substances. From what we hear, Bowe likely felt forced to use such a product when, after reporting to training camp roughly 30 pounds overweight, his coaches demanded that he quickly get his weight back down or risk being demoted. Bowe subsequently got into shape and was leading the team this season with 33 catches for 466 yards and four TDs. To help replace his production, the Chiefs will expect more from Chris Chambers, who has played well since joining K.C., Bobby Wade, Lance Long and Mark Bradley.
