Raiders head coach Tom Cable announced Bruce Gradkowski will start at quarterback for the Raiders on Sunday when they take on the Bengals. JaMarcus Russell, the No. 1 overall pick in 2007, will not start for just the second time since Week 17 of the ’07 season.
Cable also said Gradkowski, who has made 12 starts since entering the league in 2006, will be the starter for the rest of the season.
Russell has regressed this year after showing signs of improvement late last season. He's completed just 96-of-205 passes and has compiled a touchdown-interception ratio of 2-9. He's also fumbled six times and lost five of them.
